Chicche with hazelnuts, olive oil and liquor wine

The story

Ermanno, my grandfather, was a popular character loved by everyone in Chiusi, he was a big footbal fan as well. He followed the local football team “Polisportiva” on away games and he would bring Lina, to make it up to her, ingredients that he knew would tickle her creativity.

From a trip to Sorano (Viterbo) he brought back the renowned hazelnuts. Lina used them in one of her family's recipes - she was born in Cortona – which included Vin Santo, olive oil, flour and sugar.

The final result was so well received that the original recipe was never again re proposed, these cookies were al- ways available at the Hotel and were the first ones I tried to reproduce, my favorites.

  • Raising agents: ammonium bicarbonate, sodium bicarbonate

  • Salt

  • May contain traces of almonds,  pistachios,  walnuts, eggs, soy and  milk.

    * The finished product does NOT contain alcohol
